April
April is a month where I will be meditating on powerful and subversive antiwar music movements, no not cute protest songs to acoustic guitar but noise and improvised mediums that abjectly protest the commercialisation of protest music (e.g. Bob Dylan rip-offs that sounds good for the Insta algorithm).
Here is the latest output, work inspired by Musica Elletronica Viva as well as the compositional techniques of Sofia Gubaidulina (particularly the Ten Preludes for Cello): https://soundcloud.com/eugenefeygelson/rongs_bts_nts_btt
Previously, in light of the start of the Gaza invasion and subsequent murder of more than 60k Palestinians, I composed a shorter work for strings, drums and piano with electronics in memory of the truly inappropriate abstract expressionst composer Morton Feldman:

The music was featured in an art work that showed degraded and saturated photos of me aged 3 climbing on yellow, red and blue colored Israeli tanks, which were meant for children to play on near Jerusalem. That’s the spirit!
